Supports collective projects
that transform realities

The Program of Small Projects provides support and accompaniment to grassroots groups, networks, cooperatives, associations, diaconal, ecumenical, and interfaith institutions, social movements, and civil society organizations throughout Brazil. The program promotes training and engagement in democratic management with a focus on gender and ethnic-racial justice, while strengthening the leadership, autonomy, and capacity of groups to implement their transformative initiatives.

Objectives

Support initiatives that promote solutions to social problems by supporting grassroots groups and civil society organizations
Strengthen the leadership and active participation of organized civil society in shaping social change
Strengthen groups and their transformative initiatives through democratic management practices grounded in gender and ethnic-racial justice

Activities

Supporting projects through open calls for proposals and invited grant opportunities
Organizing workshops on project design, proposal development, and project management
Providing ongoing accompaniment and technical support to groups throughout project implementation
Facilitating gatherings focused on democratic management with gender and ethnic-racial justice, as well as peer learning and exchange among supported groups
